Aquaponic systems are ready to use

Since this week the aquaponic systems in the greenhouse have been completed. Four independent, equally built recirculation systems designed to test process waters deriving from three different secondary treatments: UV-disinfection, ultrafiltration and constructed wetlands. For a reference, one cycle is operated with well water.

Each recirculation system consists of a fish tank, a biological filter, a sedimentation step, storage tank and an ebb and flow table with a 6.4 m² planting area.
